Loading HD Platinum Suite 11 onto a PC with Windows 10

I have an almost new Dell XPS 8940 with Windows 10 on it. When I tried to load the programme a sub-screen came up saying Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. When I clicked 'Install' a new sub-screen came up saying Downloading Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 but when the green download bar reached its end it put up a message Download was corrupted. When I clicked OK a third sub-screen came up saying 'One or more required items failed to download. Please make sure you are connected to the internet (I was) and try again or please install required item'

I tried at four times to load the programme with the same message every time, any suggestions as to how to get around this issue would be very much appreciated. My PC is the highest spec XPS and has hardly any extra programmes on it and has all Windows 10 updates to date. I bought the programme from Amazon where the very first review was from someone who says "I’m using it on the crappy windows 10" - says it all really doesn't it!

Vegas MS 11 is a very old program.
Maybe too old for Windows 10, but there you have the possibility to install it in the Vista mode.
Rightclick on the installation file an choose the right option

I have (among many other older versions) VMSP 11 installed, Win 10 v. 2004. Have you checked section 6 here?

Might be worth considering upgrading to the latest version though. The upgrade price is rather low these days.

Thank you j-v and vkmast, I will certainly follow up your suggestions. I may have another alternative in that I have a laptop that runs on Windows 7 that I can connect to my monitor. Regards Stan
