Magix Spamware Removal

Carl-G wrote on 12/25/2018, 11:52 AM

Does anyone know?

1. Direct email address to Magix Technical Support? (it seems buried or hidden on website)

2. Does anyone know how to Remove Magix Spamware on Windows 10? (that installs with Vegas Pro 15 update and Vegas Pro 16?)

Issue: I repeatedly get upon desktop login, a Magix software (unwanted, and unasked for) popup spam advertisment in the lower right corner of the desktop. Most frustrating is the fact that the Exit button for the popup actually automatically opens the browser to a Magix.net URL containing all the sales for Magix Software.

Someone had suggested to open Vegas Pro (both 15, and 16 installed) and UNcheck the "Use Newsfeed to stay informed about VEGAS product updates" in the General Preferences menu, which I did, but I still continue to get the Magix Spam Advertisement Desktop Popups.

How do I remove these unasked for and unwanted Magix Software advertising popups from my desktop?

This may be Magix Connect. It is either listed as Magix Connect or perhaps just Connect. I uninstalled it long ago and do not remember exactly, but think it is listed in the installed programs as Magix Connect.

Depends f.i. on the methode you downladed those files.

If you download from the Magix messages on the forum

there is nothing but the update files you download.
But if you have downloaded those from your Magix account you have the opportunity to make choices. Also not to download the Magix Connect app from which those messages probably come

There is also a problem you downloaded that files with earlier installation.
No problem to uninstall that app "Magix Connect" from your hardware.

Thanks. I simply uninstalled the whole thing.
