Microsoft Store and vegas movie studio

Hi Guys,

Just wondering about these Vegas Creative Product links to the Microsoft store.

Are these the legitimate links and legitimate apps for vegas movie studio, platinum, 18 pro, and 19 edit? I'm mainly asking because these are old and discontinued but the apps are still available? I just want to be sure that these aren't fake or some malicious vendor masquerading as old vegas creative products. Thanks in advanced.

@bornstellar please see if this discussion here helps.

But check the current Fanatical VEGAS offers first (and MAGIX Move Studios offers. Note though that they are totally different programs than old VMS ones).

Hi @bornstellar ,

I took advantage of the Fanatical deal of $25 for Vegas 19 edit. I am finding this version kinda awesome, especially the new colour grading panel. I even had a project where I needed to incorporate a .braw video file and it worked perfectly. The Fanatical offer is only available for a few more days.

@bornstellar

These are legitimate. We have, in the past, offered VEGAS Pro and VEGAS Movie Studio on the Microsoft Store, but we have not published it on that platform in a few years due to the changes that Microsoft has made to the structure of the store, breaking that process that was used to publish applications there. We do not have the engineering resources available to re-engineer our solution for posting to the platform at the moment.

Thanks for the heads up. Good to know that these current links and apps mentioned above are legitimate. I sometimes have buying anxiety for software.

Are there any plans to eventually remove these current apps from the Microsoft store or do you guys plan on keeping it there indefinitely?

Off topic question. If we purchase the current Vegas Software out now from your site, is it possible to request a disc version too? I'm still a big fan of having a physical copy of the installation.

As far as keeping stuff on the Microsoft Store, I really do not have an insight on what our sales team plans to do.

In regard to a physical disc, I really do not know if we still provide those. If would be best to contact a sales rep about that.

@bornstellar That's why I download the installer(s), create a text file with the serial number(s), and copy them to USB drive(s) - usually multiple for safety purposes - or, in the past, would burn my own CD. This folder is saved to multiple USB drives...
