Movie Studio 10 - Update?

I have VMS HD Platinum (the Production Suite) Ver. 10.0 (build 179) and want to install the latest update. I downloaded the 149MB moviestudiope10.exe file.

When I click the file to install the update, it tells me I have to uninstall Vegas Movie Studio before it can proceed. Seriously? Does that mean I have to then reinstall all of my NewBlueFX packages I have purchased over the years?

Sounds like a pretty inefficient update process.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570
2 TB HDD

I thought build 179 was the last update in VMS Platinum 10.
Still do, after checking my options to update.
edit: I may be wrongly assuming that you already have 10 Plat b179 *installed* and are not upgrading from a basic VMS HD10 (without Platinum) version?

You should not need to reinstall the NewBlue products after an uninstall/reinstall of Vegas.
