Help My hard drive shut down and I had to replace it. I found the DVD but lost the authcode. I registered here when I put the program online a few yrs ago, and cant use the program anymore. at this point I'm willing to just upgrade but I cant even do that because my serial number is missing.

You should find your serial number on your Magix Account /My Products. (See also here point 3.) Your old serial numbers from the SCS era should also still be here: https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/myaccount/mysoftware
