Movie studio 13 error unmanaged exception (0xc0000005)

Movie studio 13 crashes on startup, I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but it does not work. My graphics cards are also up to date. I have had problems with this program before and it seems to stop working occasionally. Last time I had to manually delete a conflicting plugin through regedit.

You are using a very old build of the program.
Go to this site: https://www.magix.com/us/support/my-service-center/
- and login with the email used at registering at Sony when that was still the owner of the program.


On that Magix account where you logged in, go to your products and when you download it from there you get the latest build 987

@j-v If the OP has the basic version, as it seems, build 208 was actually the last one. He might try the solution in the thread that is linked here.

I found out you have to reset and delete all cached data. Thank nick and vkmask for the solution.
