Movie Studio 13...opening projects

Strange behavior....

I have a MS12 project that opens up fine in MS12, but hangs in MS13.

Another few MS12 project that opens up in MS13, but first yields the message, "The file appears to have been created in an older version of Movie Studio Platinum. All tracks may not be displayed properly. It is recommended to create a new project."

There are 2 video tracks and 3 audio tracks for that project (and it did load correctly!). But is anyone else seeing this type of behaviour with older projects?

Fairly complex old projects from 12 working ok here in spite of warning.

Try starting both 12 and 13 at the same time. ( upgrade to 13 does not overwrite 12) Load your project into 12 then select all and copy. Go to the timeline of 13 and paste. The whole project can be transferred then saved afresh.
I've done this and do not then get the warning.

I'm getting similar experiences here to those described in the two posts above.

Keep in mind that copying and pasting from one project to another window does *NOT* copy over any header settings, like pan, volume, compositing, track effects & motion, etc. These will still have to be set up manually if you've used them.
