Movie Studio 16 will not open after Windows 10 Update

SamTheMan wrote on 8/31/2020, 8:16 PM

My laptop recently did an automatic update from windows 7 to windows 10 which now causes Movie Studio to freeze at the initial load up screen during the "creating video plugin factory" portion. After searching the internet i came across the solution to delete the OFX plugins folder which allowed me to get past the "creating video plugin factory" part but now the program is freezing at "initializing gpu accelerated video processing" and unfortunately i havent found a resolution to this issue.

My specs :

Processor - I5 core 8250

Ram 8 GB

Thanks

At least try resetting if you haven't already. (It's not the same as un-/reinstalling.) The instructions apply to MS versions as well.
