Movie Studio Platinum 14 Bug: Missing Display Preferences

kevin-spencer wrote on 6/9/2017, 9:07 PM

Several people have already reported issues with visibility in the UI. I opened the Help, and found that Display Preferences is the place to make changes. However, the check box for "Use Vegas Theme" was missing. I also noted that several other options listed were not present. I can't list them right now because I'm rendering and can't even access Help, which is, IMHO, another issue. I am a software developer, so I understand the importance of usability, which includes both visibility in the UI, as well as the ability to perform a few unrelated things like opening Help while rendering. I couldn't even find Help in the file system; I suspect it is likely inside a DLL or executable. Opening Help is not in any way related to working on a video, so it should be available.

You can download a pdf manual from here: http://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/downloads/

I've reported the "Use Vegas color scheme" issue. What were the other options? I couldn't find any others in the "Display" section.

Re "Use Vegas color scheme", see https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-movie-studio-14-out-now--105638/#ca654915 and the dev's reply below that. (See also this comment)

You should find the MVMSP 14 Help (MovieStudio140.chm) in the file system: Program Files (x86)\Sony\Shared Plug-Ins\Help Files.
