Movie Studio Platinum 16.0 Keeps Crashing/Freezing while rendering

Simon-Wildgust wrote on 5/4/2020, 8:18 AM

When I render a project (all set up in the correct way), it  continues to freeze at 4% rendering. I have looked online and carefully checked ALL my settings, change a few settings which are supposed to fix this issue, but none of them work.
I have been using the same settings for a long time with no issues, now in the last few days it’s crashing during rendering. WHY?
I have even uninstalled the software, performed a fresh install. Carefully set it all up to my preferences, carried out all the above, It continues to CRASH, during video editing, during Rendering, any time.
I have been a long time user of this software and CRASHING issues continue in ALL versions I have had. I'm seriously thinking of trying other software. Your product is not fit for purpose.
PLEASE FIX THIS CONTINUING ERROR. A permanent fix, not temporary. My system is up to date and virus and malware free.

Lucky that you made your own conclusion.
Lucky also that we on this userforum are not needed for help.

The related FAQ compiled by an experienced VEGAS user.

And linked in that FAQ: "DISABLE GPU ACCELERATION. VEGAS' GPU acceleration is often responsible for all sorts of weird problems with the appearance of video. Try turning it off in "Preferences" > "Video" > "GPU acceleration of video processing". You will need to restart VEGAS afterwards"
