I have 2 clips and I want the first one to end with fade-to-black and the second one to start the same way.
When I apply fade-out to the end of clip #1 and fade-in to the start of clip #2, and then join the 2 clips together on the timeline, the fades disappear. "Join" means move the start of the 2nd clip up to the end of the 1st clip.
Why does the fade disappear, and how can I stop this from happening?
If I join the 2 clips together first and click the Fade button, the blue Fade handle does not appear on the 2nd clip, but I can still accomplish the fade-in by clicking/dragging the top-left corner of the clip. However, this does not work for the 1st clip - there is no Fade handle and I cannot click/drag the top-right corner of the clip.
