MSP15 CRASH AT STARTUP - SOLVED PROBLEM

vjsouza wrote on 4/12/2018, 4:11 PM

Hi, guys!

My brand-new MSP15 did not work at startup at all! I discovered the problem and I want to share it with everyone.

Who has HitFilm Express 2017 will experience this problem with MSP15, unfortunately.

The solution is:
Open the C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\HitFilmExpress2017\BCC_OFX_3DObjects.ofx.bundle\Contents\Win64 folder and rename the BCC_OFX_3DObjects.ofx file to BCC_OFX_3DObjects.ofx-old.

Your problems will end.

Now open the MSP15 without crashing at startup!

vkmast, is to open in Windows Explorer, not in MSP15 File Explorer.

Just that I did not experience this problem with HFE 2017 installed.

@vjsouza - You mention Hitfilm, but the culprit is actually Boris (see the file that you posted BCC 3D objects below). This fix has been discussed elsewhere in this forum.

@vkmast - That explains why you didn't have the problem with HFE 2017 too.

@Markk655, a good clarification. The MSP 15 general discussion thread has comments on this at least from Dr Zen, Nick and yourself.
