What audio format are you rendering?

It sounds like you could have a remnant of audio or a marker on your Vegas timeline up to an hour. I would select your timeline files (not the whole timeline, just the active area), copy and paste into a new instance of Vegas and see if that fixes the problem after you render.

Make the Loop Region (that's the grey bar above the timeline with yellow triangles at the ends) span only the length of timeline that you want to render, and then when you render make sure you have "Render loop region only" checked.

You should find possible remnants/markers by pressing the Go to End button (Ctrl+End).

And if you have a Loop Region, VPro 13 should default to Render loop region only. But check that of course.

If you put the mp3 file back onto the timeline in a new Vegas project, is it the correct length?

Try rendering it as WAV and see how it goes?
