Is it possible to "transfer" New BluFX from Sony Vegas movie studio 10 Platinum suite to Movie Studio 12 Platinum suite as there seems to be a few in the older version that are not in the new one. If so how do I do it?
Is this OS the same (not changing from 32 bit to 64 bit Windows)?
If so, complete the following in the order described -
- Install the old version of VMS
- Install old NB FX
Install new version of VMS
- Install new version of NB FX
If you already have the the new version of VMS and NB FX installed, I think that you can just install the old version of VMS and the older NB FX after that (without starting over). The critical piece is that the NB FX bought with VMS can only be installed if that version of VMS is installed. The old version of VMS can be deleted after NB FX installation, id desired and all NB FX will appear in the new VMS.
Forgot to mention that indeed I have gone from 32bit to 64 bit so it looks like a no-no
but many thanks for the prompt responses. Hope I have some luck with my other query
I was in the same position. Here's the scoop. You can use your perviously purchased NewBlue FX products with the 64 bit version of VMS. All you need to do is rerun the executable (install package) and choose 64bit and VMS 64bit will pick them up as it did with 32 bit. The only thing that will not work with the 64 bit version of VMS is Cinescore (booo!!! to Sony). That is only 32 bit and never the two shall meet. There is a thread about this from a while ago if you search the forums.
I should point out that I got all this directly from the NewBlue FX support people. They do monitor the VMS forums and actually replied to that earlier forum thread about moving from 32 bit to 64 bit.
I am running VMS12 64-bit and I went back to my VMS10 install disc and tried to reinstall New Blue FX. I was not presented with a 32 or 64 bit option. I installed anyway and while they appear to VMS10 they do not appear to VMS12. How did you select 64-bit when you installed from your VMS10 disc?
