new hard drive = vegas problem

I recently had to replace my computer's hard drive. After cloning the system and programs to the new drive, Vegas no longer will load. I have an older version (Vegas 5) which is no longer supported by Sony's technical help. Does anyone know why Vegas/DVDA no longer work, and how to fix?. All my other programs work without any problems.
Thanks, JL

Whenever I change drives, I have to reinstall Vegas. It apparently keeps track of the drive ID or something.

Thanks Dave. I was hoping not to have to reinstall since I did several updates since the original version 5.0 that came on the cd. Oh well.

You should only have to install the latest version of 5 from the Download page.
