NewBlue VP14 bundle in VP15

jetdv wrote on 6/6/2018, 6:51 AM

Good news!  We finally have a way of clearing watermarks from your NewBlue VEGAS Pro 14 plugin bundles in VEGAS Pro 15!  Here are instructions:

Download the appropriate XML file for your NewBlue plugin bundle:
Vegas Pro 14 Complete
Vegas Pro 14 Suite Complete

Copy the XML file and paste it in C:\Program Files\NewBlueFX\SKU (overwrite the XML of the same name).

Sign out, then back in to the NewBlue Application Manager.

Restart VEGAS / Titler Pro.

Afterward you will be able to use your NewBlue Vegas Pro 14 bundle plugins in VEGAS Pro 15!

Have always found Newblue (jetdv) most helpful. This should be a 'sticky'.

Does this also work for Vegas Pro 16?

jetdv wrote on 12/7/2018, 4:46 PM

The Vegas Pro 14 bundles will not work in Vegas Pro 16 without a watermark.

This is happening again on Vegas 20. Has it been fixed?

ChrisD wrote on 4/10/2023, 10:24 PM

If I recall correctly VP20 came with a perpetual license for TotalFX late last year, but maybe not the same thing.

Regardless, the OP is responding to a post from years ago, of dubious relevance, and provides zero context.

It works in VEGAS Pro 14 and 15. It does NOT work in later versions. Initially it was tied to only 14. Those older NewBlue bundles were tied to specific versions (even older Boris bundles were as well). Current bundles are not tied to a specific version.

That was likely Magix Movie Edit Pro 2022 Plus in circa February 2022. It came with the then latest version of TotalFX7 which included Titler Pro 7. A similar offer with Vegas Pro doesn't seem to appear in Vegas Pro Price Watch.

Directly with MAGIX or via Humble Bundle which had a Vegas Pro offer at the time?

Directly from Magix.

I don't think it appears in the price watch screenshots, but I can assure you it was in the details. I was quite content with v18 at the time, but that offer sealed the deal for me. 😀

@Dexcon do you mean that NewBlue TotalFX were actually included in that Dec 2022 HB offer? I've notes that besides VP 18 Edit, e.g. MAGIX Movie Studio 22 was included with the bundle and the Mercalli V5 "Magix version" but no NB.

@ChrisD is right. It was in email offers only as quoted here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-20-a-newblue-add-on-from-159--138291/

jetdv wrote on 4/11/2023, 9:02 AM

TotalFX is included in some VEGAS packages. You'd have to look at the different package options from Magix.

vkmast wrote on 4/11/2023, 9:38 AM

Movie Expansion Pack Vol.1 includes NewBlue Transitions 5 Ultimate and NewBlue Titler Pro 7. Otherwise I did not find any current offers including TotalFX at the vcs.com website. There might be "targeted" email offers but I'm not aware of those.

ChrisD wrote on 4/11/2023, 9:43 AM

Heh. Well that's a relief. I was checking my sanity.

But I digress.

It wasn't my intention to re-hijack this old thread; I was trying to figure out what @ricardo-soruco was on about, and whether we could add any value.

Dexcon wrote on 4/11/2023, 5:51 PM

@vkmast  ... I was only wondering that it might have been included especially if it was part of MAGIX Movie Studio 22 rather than VP.

@Dexcon the MMS that was offered was the basic version which comes with no plugins. Even the Mercalli plugin offered would not work in it because it is the basic version. You would need Plus/Platinum or Suite.

Those that I know that did buy that bundle, bought it for Vegas and gave away MMS.
