No Autosave files

This morning my Vegas Pro 13 crashed and had forgotten to save the file for quite a while. Curses! And, though the option to autosave the project is ticked, I find find no autosave projects in the nominated temporary directory. I hope I don't have to all that work again!

After a crash Vegas Pro normally offers to restore the project but all I got was an "update to Vegas Pro 15" splash window which was difficult to clear and popped up twice. And no sign of any restore files.

Hoping someone can help.

Unusual on the old Sony Vegas Pro forum not to get any help. I have no idea what happened and can't seem to get my Vegas Pro to do auto saves, even though it is set to do so. With regard to the lost work, I just had to do it all again.

Autosaved project files are not saved in the temporary directory, they will be saved in the same directory as your project files, called xxx.veg.bak

Camcorder: Sony CX 520 VE

Aha! That's why I couldn't find them. Did they move in the history of Vegas as I'm sure when Googling this, it was the temp files that was mentioned? Anyway I shall remember that for the next time. Too logical to look there especially when stressed about losing work! Thank you Quitter!
