No Data Recognized in Video Tracks

For some reason, Movie Studio 16 wouldn't read video tracks anymore. Same when I upgraded to Movie Studio 17; no video data in video tracks of known good MP4 and MOV files.

Adobe After effects can read the same files, but I prefer Movie Studio even though I pay for Adobe by the month.

Video data not recognized when video files are added to the timeline!
