@Chief24 we are discussing the basic Movie Studio 15 latest build 135. I too have Tiny Planet in MS 15 Platinum build 146. Build 384 is a Vegas Pro 15 build. Interestingly, the Movie Studio 15 product page video showing TP is from the Platinum version. OTOH so is the AutoLooks video, so that does not prove much. Maybe someone with MS 15 b 135 installed can verify Tiny Planet is included. (One folder in FX the OP could check is Vegas/360. Tiny Planet is the only one there in my MS 15 P b 146. It is in several folders there as well though.)
Presumably a mistake somewhere. If, in fact, the basic version isn't intended to have Tiny Plant FX you'd be entitled to your money back as misrepresentation would be involved.
Personally I'd get the Platinum version anyway as the general consensus among users is that the basic is missing many useful features and for the few extra dollars Platinum is well worth it. I'd like to see Magix drop the Basic version and instead offer a cheaper Edit version as done with Vegas Pro.
I cannot imagine that someone buys a NLE for a (stupid/useless) effect like "tiny planet".
I also agree with Eric that the basic version of VMS should be dropped. Here, there are always a lot of threads which deal with the "missing" features of VMS basic.
@3POINT yes. We've discussed the basic version (and the issues related) e.g. here. Meanwhile, can anybody confirm that the MS 15 product page and patch notes are giving the right info on Tiny Planet's existence there?
I have looked into this. Tiny Planet should be in the "basic" VMS version. A bug in the released software is preventing it from being listed. I have added it to our database as a high priority and I hope to have this fix in an update in the near future. We apologize for the inconvenience.
@3POINT i couldnt care less what you feel or think of the Tiny Planet plugin....if it's something I need, dont express an opinion if i should or shouldnt buy the product based on that.
