Number of PC's Vegas Pro

Sumaro wrote on 10/23/2016, 3:43 AM

Hi,

What is the number of computers that I'm allowed to install my Vegas Pro software?

Mainly I use 2 PC's (quite powerfull laptop and standard workstation), sometimes I'd like to be able to use Vegas Pro on 3rd PC - small ultrabook. Of course only one PC is used simultaneously, It's used only by me.

Am I allowed to do it on a single Vegas Pro license?

(Currently I'm Sony Vegas Pro 11 user, installed on laptop PC and I'm considering upgrade to 14)

I apologize if this was answered before, I could not find the answer.

Thanks a lot.

Were my Sony Vegas account transfered to Magix? If so, where can I log into it from?

I can't login so I assume the account was not transfered to Magix (I still can login on www.sonycreativesoftware.com)

Wolfgang, I appreciate your help, thank You.

The New Blue Titler of the Pro version allows registration on only 1 PC, to use it on the other you have to deactivate that titler on the first.

That is not true. You can also use NewBlue on both without having to deactivate.

Your screen doesn't say how many activations you have used, only that you have used the maximum. The wording "another computer" as opposed to "your other computer" could imply more than one.

Quitter wrote on 10/28/2016, 11:37 AM

"Trying to activate on my second computer,.." could imply how many PC's? 😏
But it should work (it does for me)

Is there a possibility that you have activated it before on another computer or install and did not de activate it?  I don't use the software so I have not had experience, but I have had other software that had a drive crash so I had to contact the company to de -activate so I could reinstall.

NormanPCN wrote on 10/28/2016, 12:30 PM

Another possibility. Most software that I have treated the Windows 7 to Windows 10 update as a "new" installation and required re-activation. If the machine went through such an update then maybe NewBlue is keeping the old Win7 activation around counting against total activations. Sadly, NewBlue provides no mechanism to view current activations and manage those activations. All we have is a deactivate on a currently activated machine, which does not help when that machine no longer exists.

I have no trouble with NewBlue Vegas Complete and a second installation on a second PC

This seems to be the case with Vegas Pro 365, which he has.
