I can confirm The NVIDIA as above -will not work with Magix ( Vegas movie studio 15 suite and Vegas Pro 15 and old Sony Platinum Movie studio 12 ) please be aware - If anyone who can advise any other video editing suite I would be eternally grateful.
Really do not understand why Magix / Vegas have not resolved this issue.

Great speedy return much appreciated ( have looked and read all other postings ) thanks,BUT after install the Vegas 15 MS 15 Suite the program will not even open, just displays " Stopped working " so have sent my report
( in a bit more detail ) to Magix GmbH and await reply, anything useful will post. Forgot to mention if I disable NVIDIA the Intel chip set runs the MS15 Suite BUT that somewhat defeats the point ....

<a-b5894> Did you get any results on this? If not what did you do? @a-b5894

I am now having an identical problem (Vegas Platinum 14 and GeforceGX1050 Ti graphics) and getting minimal supprt from Magix who keep telling me to try different drivers and are not answering any direct questions. Is there another version of Vegas that will work? If I change my video programme how will I manage half a dozen videos in mid-edit? Very much enjoy using Vegas and got new computer specifically to make it easier (my desktop was nine years old). Incredibly disappointing and frustrating.

Hi Peter, short answer NO !

Having spent some time trying to resolve...... - The only option was to sadly disregard all Vegas/Sony platforms - delete all folders ( making sure you have backed up all videos you've made ) Then I tried various other " Vegas /Sony type alternatives that does work with the GeforceGX1050 Ti graphics card ,as sample downloads.
I tried four types.

Now a user of Pinnacle Studio 21 approx £120 ( depends on what version - I went for the most expensive )

Has a similar layout and was very easy to change over - offers some excellent upgrades not available on Sony / Vegas and a lot easier to work with.

Like you, really cannot understand Vegas/Sony attitude apart from they were all bought by a German company and assume they spent their cash buying these companies and had none left for upgrades

As Suggested - you can download a trial version and see how you get on , then download the package if happy
I'm old so I requested the disc as well - for future use so I can reload to any new PC .... my apologies if I told you what you already know.

Wish you well

NB My problem was I built a new standalone PC to my own spec ( problem was same as you Sony software didn't work with the Graphic card) So I could still use Sony on my old PC....... good news is I am now quite proficient with Pinnacle and never use / go back to the old Sony suite....

You´re not telling what source media you're trying to edit. I never would build a PC for edit purpose with an i5 Processor with only 8 Gb of RAM.

@a-b5894 - But Pinnacle don't provide a trial download so where did you get yours from? It's the only popular consumer editor that I haven't been able to try because of no trial. So far I've always come back to VMS. Friends have Pinnacle and I haven't been impressed by their experiences.

@a-b5894

Welcome back in 1 or 2 years from now. 👍😄

I know a lot of users on our Dutch forum who did go the other way and are very glad as myself.
I was a long time-sometimes-only-happy-user of Pinnacle software untill more than 9 years ago after comparing for 2 years Pinnacle and Vegas I came here and I think stay forever unless the fact I got that software for free after being a long time Beta-tester for the earlier Pinnacle company. After the sale to Avid I stayed there for 1 year and I left the company and their software.
Now they belong to Corel it maybe getting a little better but my visits at their forums cannot convince me ever to go back.

met vriendelijke groet
Marten
