Open Vegas 15 projects in Vegas 14

A simple question, I did not find the answer otherwise: Is it possible to open and edit projects in Vegas 14, that were saved in Vegas 15? I need to bee sure of this, to know if i can upgrade to Vegas 15 without risking that my colleague won't be able to open my new projects in his old Vegas anymore.

You cannot open VP15 projects in VP14. They are not backwards compatible.

Additionally, the Movie Studio / Vegas Pro version faker, which is usually useful for converting projects, apparently cannot be made to work with VP15.

You can copy and paste events and their attributes from an open instance of VP15 to an open instance of VP14, but you'll miss track FX, project FX, markers etc. by doing that.

Thanks a lot, Nick! Even though it's not what I hoped for, it answered my question. I had hoped that Magix has a different policy here than Sony used to have, but not a suprise they don't.

The other remaining question for me now is: will I still be able to use my Vegas 14 version after I upgrade to 15, or will it be overwritten?
