Opening the video effects window.

Hi all. I hope you guys can help me out with my problem. I was using Vegas Platinum 14 for a month, and everything was working fine. Now when I go to the Fx button and add an effect, it won't open the window anymore for me to be able to regulate the effects. I have tried everything, and I'm very frustrated. It allows me to click on the Fx button and add an effect, but when the window doesn't show up, I try clicking the fx again and it just makes "Cut, Copy, Paste" buttons grey in and out. Very weird stuff. Please tell me that its an easy fix.

But the window may be hiding somewhere. Have you changed your monitor setup recently if you use two monitors? And where are the Copy, paste buttons that you refer to.

Yeah unfortunately when I reset it, the window still isn't coming up at all. I used to be able to click any of the FX buttons and click color corrector, add it, and then a window would pop up. I could then use all the features in there to make my video look way better. This is very frustrating, and is making me question why I went with this product!

As EricLNZ says, the window may be hiding. Did you try to unlock the taskbar and move it to either side and see if you see a bit of the missing window to drag it back up? If that does not help, check your reset workflow and follow exactly these instructions.

I suggest resetting your display to the default configuration by going to the "View" menu, select "Window Layouts" and then choose "Default Layout". Once that is done, try opening the FX editor again.
