I don't have 12 but if it's like 11's upload to YouTube and share it online options, it will be in Make Movie.

That's what I thought too -- but that would be too easy. It's not there.

I've tried everything - short of paying for a Pixelcast account. WIth the free version, there's no way you can upload to Pixelcast from any version of Movie Studio that I can see. Definitely not as Pixelcast describes on their website:

https://www.pixelcast.com/help/doc/details/124"Adding Video from Vegas Movie Studio[/link]

You can use the "

All my versions just go directly to an 'ACIDplanet.com' upload dialogue when I select 'Share online...'.

I also downloaded Pixelcast's desktop application which opens Pixelcast outside of a browser, thinking there might have been something linking that to Movie Studio - nope.

So, I'm not even going to begin thinking of a paid account with Pixelcast if this is a sample of how organized they are.

Thanks for confirming what I'm seeing, Doc!

YVW, it's the least I could do. That's my mantra - I'll always do, the least I can do.

I was just thinking though. It would be wonderful if a community of amateur and professional video editing enthusiasts could come together and create a service for uploading, sharing and exhibiting their works. A community with the audio/visual knowledge, computer knowledge and desire for exchanging tips and advice. A community not so interested in any profit motive or gimmicks.

I'm just unsure where to find such a rag-tag collection of people.

Are you setting me up for a plug, Doc? That's the whole purpose of:
http://Muvipix.com

Joining the community is free and so are a large number of the tutorials, tips, motion backgrounds and royalty-free music clips. (There's also an inexpensive subscriptiion service, the profits of which are used to keep the site up and running.)

There is also a growing library of tutorials for Vegas Movie Studio as well as DVD Architect Studio there -- including free Basic Training tutorials for each.

A working Pixelcast login option is now to be found under Make Movie and Share Online. Odd, because I didn't find it the last time I looked either and I haven't updated to builds 575/576 yet.

For me, with Movie Studio 12 Version 12 (Build 576) 64-bit edition, clicking 'Make Movie' > 'Share it online' results in an error message window/pane (pain) that reads:

"An error occurred while saving one or more files. A component failed to initialize."

With two clickable buttons:

OK and DETAILS

The 'details' button opens a pane that reads:

"Publish component failed to initialize."

Good luck with it guys, I can't be bothered with that kind of nonsense.

I uninstalled all (I hope) versions of MS12 Platinum from my computer and cleaned up the registries a little and reinstalled MS12 Platinum, today.

I clicked MAKE MOVIE > SHARE IT ONLINE, and now, there's no longer an error message and I have a selection of using the ACIDplanet service or PIXELCAST. Selecting either one opens a login dialogue.

What changed, I don't know. But, it seems to be up and running but I can't see how that's connected to my reinstalling Movie Studio. It's the same application and the same build number, 576.

Any who, how this helps.
