@Former user the link is for VEGAS Movie Studio 14 Suite

@Kristina-Redmond you can use the serial number you get with your purchase to update /patch.

Former user wrote on 11/27/2020, 9:05 AM

I guess I assumed the Studio versions would all contain the studio version of DVDA.

Teagan wrote on 11/27/2020, 9:07 AM

@Teagan are you sure the Studio version includes DVDA? Is it DVDA or DVDA Studio version?

B&H photo says it [MAGIX VEGAS Movie Studio 14 Suite] includes "VEGAS DVD Architect" and the USA Amazon page shows the back of the box that says "Vegas DVD Architect", so I would assume that it does include DVD architect 7 since those two examples and that vegas movie studio platinum 14 (the lesser version of this suite 14) includes DVDA7 as well, since I own that.

Thankyou

So you think this one?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B077LRJVHV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_KlrWFb436ZPJJ

Then I can use your link for the patch yes? It definitely does blu ray chapters and menus yes? And it doesn't crash all the time?

Thank you

Kristina

Yes, that one should be good and it includes DVDA7 which is exactly what you want. It's also a great deal for all that software for 30 pounds, although I'm not sure you'd use any of it except DVDA7.

It will allow you to make chapters and custom menus for DVDs and blu rays, also. I don't remember the last time mine crashed, it works well for me.

And yes, that link I posted earlier for the patch would install right over this DVDA7, although it's not required, but I would recommend it as it probably includes fixes for some bugs that may cause crashing.

So vkmast shall I get the link and then update dvd architect on the link teagan said?

Would I then be able to do menus and chapters for a blu ray disc that plays in all blu ray players?

Kristina-Redmond wrote on 11/27/2020, 9:26 AM

Thankyou teagan

vkmast wrote on 11/27/2020, 9:30 AM

It's one of the links you can download the patch from.

I can't say it will definitely work in all BD players.

Does everyone think that I should get this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B077LRJVHV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_KlrWFb436ZPJJ

Thankyou

Unless you want to contact MAGIX for an offer, yes. (Either that or VEGAS Pro 15 disc v., [NOT Edit] from the same source. With the VMS 14 Suite pricing you don't have much to lose.)

Teagan wrote on 11/27/2020, 10:21 AM

Is this what you mean vkmast, pro 15. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0751GPX4P/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_WusWFbE2ABR1K

Yes, that also includes DVD architect 7.

The USA page for that item (here) shows the back of the box and says includes DVD architect.

vkmast wrote on 11/27/2020, 10:30 AM

I'd choose that one.

Kristina-Redmond wrote on 11/27/2020, 10:34 AM

So I'm going to get the pro 15 yes? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0751GPX4P/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_aJsWFbXQ34WTX

Does every one agree it will do what I'm looking for?

Hi everyone

I have installed vegas pro 15 and dvd architect, do I still need to use that link to update dvd architect or has it already got the best version?

Thankyou

Kristina

It's not required but I would suggest making sure you have build 100 for any bug fixes that may have. It says the build number when you first start it up, at the top left of that splash screen.

If you don't have build 100 see here for the update:

Please note that Chrome may not download (you need to copy and paste the text to your browser). Try another browser then, MS Edge should work. Another download option is MAGIX Download Center.

In addition, it's now been informed that VEGAS DVD Architect (a.k.a. DVD A 7) is not available to buy from MAGIX any more.

Does this mean we can't download it from magix, install it, or activate it anymore, if we already own it?

Kristina-Redmond wrote on 12/5/2020, 2:22 PM

Yes they said i couldn't so Im glad I got chatting on here and didn't waste time in waiting for magix to reply so thank you but I can still use that link to update if needed yes?

Thankyou

I tested downloading from MAGIX Download Center using my DVD A 7 serial number and was able to download the .exe file. So we should be able to download it with a valid serial number.
