+1 to NewBlue for listening to their users and for reacting quickly.

is this ofx or other?

update in nbt in 11 tells me i'm up to date with 120718. the link is to 120814?

really - this versioning is getting out of hand!!!!

Well this update has not helped me at all.

I am trying to get to grips with NB FX Titler and have spent ages producing a title for my current project. I eventually got it looking about right.

Now I can preview it in the NB FX preview window but not in the VP video preview window, even if I selectively render the loop region, there is no title there.

If I close the project (and VP with it) and reopen it, I can preview the video with title superimposed. But if I make the smallest, tiniest change to the NB project, I lose timeline video preview again.

This happened too with the version of NB FX I just updated from. I am giving up on this flaky software, I think.

Although I've had my share of issues with Vegas pro 11 and rendering, the NewBlue side of things has been "OK" for me - few crashes and seems to work. I am however not at all keen to update my version just in case I upset the apple cart. For me kind of if it aint broke don't fix it.

Not any help to others, but just my comments....

Have you put a trouble ticket in with New Blue? I had several issues and they helped me resolve them. I usually had replies within a few hours.

videoITguy, where exactly did you get that link from? I dont see a reference on their website to it anywhere. Curious.

Paul.

An off-topic question:

- how do I enter extended-ASCII (e.g. Polish, or CE) characters in this Titler?

This thing alone (plus frequent crashing) has always kept me from even learning it...

paul,
the link's been given on at least two other Vegas forums.

I got these replies from NB when I specifically asked.

From NewBlueFX Customer Support:

paul_w wrote on 8/19/2012, 10:08 AM
VK, the link "www.newbluefx.com/downloads/Sony/NewBlueTitlerProForVegasPro-120814.exe" certainly does not appear anywhere else in the Video forum? This is the first time we have seen it here. Thats why i asked where did it come from.

So, it turns out this is only a Beta version. I see. And presumably emailed [the link] to you from customer support as a possible fix. Thats why its not linked to on their website.

My point - they have STILL NOT updated their website with the changes they promised. Words by their own CEO. I dont see any improvement whatsoever here.

Its just a [hidden link] named beta, thats all.

Paul

paul,
by the other Vegas forums I meant forums other than SCS forums. Sorry if I was not clear enough.
It was not emailed to me as a fix. Like I said, I specifically asked because of these posts elsewhere.

Thanks for the clear up VK.

How bizarre, its posted on two other external forums but not in the VEGAS forum?

Honestly, i'm pretty fed up with this nonsense line of thinking from NB, what a bunch... really.

I just visited the NewBlue website for the first time in many weeks, and I was REALLY hoping to see some changes (as promised) by now. But, nope, same old thing, and when I clicked on the download link for Titler Pro, guess what? The same old file name:

NewBlueTitlerProForWindowsSetup10.exe

Same deal with all the other plugins I own. I tried clicking on several of the plugins' links and got the same thing:

PlugInName30.exe

I was really hoping to see some changes by now, especially after the initial excitement of the OP's file name change post.

I know some of my previous posts came off sounding REALLY obnoxious, and I apologize for that, it was just my frustration showing. I honestly do like the NewBlue plugins that I own. But to suddenly not be able to use any of them with the current version of Vegas 11 is truly disheartening. So reluctantly I was forced to purchase another set of plugins BCC8 and while not happy with having to spend more money, I'm just happy to have a set of special efx plugins that work with Vegas.

addressing Leee's website design changes observation:

Comments 8/20/2012:
Re website file names: We have made changes to the database and I (jetdv) am currently filling in the necessary information into the database. We (NewBlueFX) are planning on making it the database changes live this week. As I originally said, it really is more complicated than simply a "change the file name" but we're now almost there.

Then commented in the forum: By not making a pre-emptive announcement of your database enhancement status/delay, and having users subsequently complain about your perceived lack of follow-through, you guys are digging your own grave with respect to your business. by Tech Diver

Poitr, enter the letters in Word, copy them, and then paste them into Titler Pro.
jetdv wrote on 8/20/2012, 7:02 PM
Leee, the changes are coming. I just made many database changes today leading to those changes. Some of the file names will not change until the next release but we have listened and are implementing these changes. They should be available this week - hopefully in the next day or two.
jetdv wrote on 8/20/2012, 7:06 PM
videoITguy, it's taken time to get the database and web changes in place. I'm sorry we can't turn these changes overnight as everyone would like but it takes time to make these changes. The initial changes will have version and build numbers listed on our download page and, as new builds are released, the new file names will also be cycled into use.

As for the Titler Pro build mentioned above, it is a BETA build and that is why it does not show as an update. As soon as we have the next release build ready, it will certainly show up under Check For Updates.

Zeitgeist: Which version are you talking about, is it the beta mentioned above?
I'd be interested in testing it out too.

Thanks,
Lee

Yes I did this, thanks. Still awaiting a response.

Yes, the NBTP Beta that I downloaded from the DVInfo link (above) works better than any of the "real" releases I've used so far. It even registars my NB EFX and Transitions now. Thank you JetDV and NewBlue...
