Post Your VEGAS Tutorials!

RogerS wrote on 2/7/2026, 8:08 PM

A new thread for you to post your VEGAS tutorials. The old tutorials function with curated tutorials is no longer being updated.

Suggestions for effective tutorials:

  • clear narration with captions (speech to text can help automate this)
  • avoid obtrusive background music
  • if 3rd party Fx are needed, make clear exactly which ones.
  • if the features you are using require specific versions of VEGAS please note that

Here's a video I made about a custom deep glow on Vegas pro!

You need: Ignite plugin, for super glow, Sapphire glow, Sapphire drop shadow and UniedgeGlow as well! Took me awhile to get this perfect! Because the UniedgeGlow makes the red text actually glowing! Because the one I tried before the red was terrible on the glow!

I hope this helps anyone who uses text in videos!

Yeah, like I said

I think the point that Gid is making is that this isn't a Vegas glow, it's not a custom glow template you can build from built-in effects.

Some time ago, there was a thread pinned in the upper section with helpful add-ons, tutorials, etc.

I would like to refer you to at least two typical internet sources that contain a whole series of tutorials
YouTube channel “Tech Dive AVClub”
but above all
YouTube channel “Veteran Video Editor” by Jack Dale, which in my opinion does not receive enough attention. Patiently and slowly, the basics and methods are shown in detail, in line with the requirements set out at the beginning.
