Sony Vegas 17 Pro

I went to record a 12-string guitar track onto a video. Nothing special, just some strumming. The video preview has always been jagged, I took a chance and figured any overdubbed guitar would be passable. However, the recording of the guitar was jagged too! I've looked thru this support group and googled the stuttering and I have not been able to get a good preview going without it being very jerky, almost as if I just have a bunch of still jpgs that make up the flow. Actually, it was a GoPro 7.

I am using a Lenovo T61 with Windows 10
