Preview window goes black

Hi, so, I have been struggling for this for some days now, and it's slowly getting on my nerves. When adding any clip into the timeline, the preview screen shows black. I have uninstalled and reinstalled QuickTime, and Sony Vegas 15 it self. And unchecking 'Confirm media file deletion when still in use' doesn't change the preview screen.

Thanks

Could it be that the time cursor is moved right at the end of the added clip? If so, just click somewhere inside the clip and it will show in your preview screen.

Then I don’t know. Perhaps someone else can help.
