Problems after updating Movie Studio 17 Platinum to version 179

After updating Vegas Movie Studio 17 Platinum to version build 179 yesterday all kinds of bugs and crashes happened. I still can open older projects, but they don't play very well, lots of clips (the mp4 ones especially) are black or sometimes red or they flicker, so there's no way I can continue with editing and when I try, it ends very soon in a crash where the program freezes and I have to shut it down. When I start a new project strange errors happen that never happened before: like when I open the Video Track Effects window, the effects that I put on there doesn't preview like it always did before. Only when I close that effects window, the effect shows, so there is no way to fine tune that effect. I really wish I could reinstall the previous version, which was if I remember correctly something like build 149. Is there a way to do that? Is this a known issue with this update? Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance...

I'm using a Windows 10 Pro 64-bit PC, AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor, 32 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 170

Wout

Hi vkmast,

Thank you very much sir, you've made my day!!!

Do you by any chance happen to know a way to loose the "Major program update - perform update" screen?

Yours,

Wout

@Wout see this comment of mine in a thread on the same topic. No guarantees.
