The screenshot below is from Dr Zen's MSZ site (Thanks Derek :) )

Thanks, but this isn't what I'm after. many NLE's now allow you to archive a project with all necessary files (consolidated or not) as a single package that also allow you to work on it at a different location or different time.

So another black point here.

This is right what it is meant for.

OHHHHHHHH, sorry guys, my big mistake...... I didn't look at the extract, I read only the top of that link..... my mistake. please except my humble apology.

Now I see that the option to have the clips trimmed is a big big GOOD point!.

Though using trimmed clips for project archive is the weakest point here because it only works with few video types.

I see what you mean, I tried MTS and WMV .... no consolidation. full clips copied.

I guess only non GOP's files will be trimmed by VMS ( I have non to try at the moment).

Thank you.

The trimmer copies caveat was in the extract as well. And no need to apologize, I myself overlook things most of the time.

Another thing to remember FayFen. Before using the archive feature, make sure that you select Tools/Clean Project Media so that all redundant files, events, etc. that are languishing in the Project Media folder(s)are not copied as well.
