project to large

I receive a message that my project is to large for the dvd
but my project is listed as 2.9 GB of disk space used on the DVD Architect program but when i try to prepare and burn it I get a message that the project is to large.

If i click fit to disk it states no need to do this there is enough disk space. I only have a problem when I get the project ready to burn then I receive the error message that it is to large for media selected. I have a regular 4.7 disk

Try preparing to a folder without burning a disc. If that works, and the result is less than 4.7 GB, then try using DVDA to burn the previously prepared folder. If that doesn't work, try using Imgburn, a free and well-regarded burning program.

DVDA is notorious for over estimating the project size. Go ahead and burn it anyway.

I can use architect to prepare my video but it keeps giving me a message that it is to large to burn when I click the burn button although it shows otherwise

You could try another disc, but you really should try PeterDuke's advice and ImgBurn.

I also use Imgburn sometimes, but....have you tried ignoring the message and burning in DVDA anyway? I've done this countless times!
