Prompted to enter license every time I run Vegas Pro 15

Apologies if this is in the wrong board, there seemed to be no general Vegas Pro board to post in.

I've been using Vegas Pro 15 for several months without any significant issues but recently I tried to abort a render of my new short film and it caused a system freeze that necessitated me holding the power button in for 5 seconds to kill the machine. When I rebooted and tried to go back into Vegas, I was given the infamous error code: -59, saying that there was no license to use Vegas. After using Microsoft's installer/uninstall fixer to remove Vegas, I then redownloaded and reinstalled Vegas and - thankfully - it now loads and I've been editing the last couple of days to finish my short film before the deadline!

However, every single time I launch Vegas, I am prompted to register the program online. The weird thing is, the serial code and email fields are already filled in from the first time I registered. Thankfully, it always successfully registers. I've checked my firewall; MAGIX and Vegas aren't blocked and my MAGIX account shows record of my registering.

It's not deal-breaking, but it is annoying to have to re-register every time I want to launch Vegas, which for me is usually multiple times per day. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

I've already contacted MAGIX support directly but have yet to receive a reply.

System specs:
Windows 10 64-Bit
Intel i5-6600K (3.30GHz)
Gigabyte Z170XP-SLI
16GB RAM
Zotac Geforce GTX 1050ti
Vegas is booting from the same drive as Windows, which in this case is a SanDisk Pro SSD 256GB

This FAQ section 3 gives some possible reasons. Obviously there may be other explanations to this error code. (From Magix support)

I have deactivated my Vegas Pro license, restarted the PC, and re-activated my license and this has not solved my issue. I am still being asked to register every time I load Vegas.
I've also received no response from MAGIX support. This performance is worse than them sending me messages via carrier pigeon. I'm guessing the egg that will one hatch into the carrier pigeon they are going to send on a 6 month migration to get an answer to me has yet to be laid.

While waiting to get a reply from Support, you might read this thread and the links.

I occassionally have this problem and have to cold reboot in Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

Well cold rebooting did nothing unfortunately. I should also add, I have tried running as administrator and that doesn't seem to make a difference either.

I did however take a look in regedit and discovered something weird. Vegas Pro 15 is the only version of Vegas Pro I've ever used - I made the leap from Movie Studio Platinum 11 and 13 last year. Yet I have a folder in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Sony Creative Software\Vegas Pro - MAGIX\14.0 called license and that folder has a keyRegFile with a key I don't recognise (it's not my MSP 11 or 13 key and not VP15 either). There is also a HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Sony Creative Software\VEGAS Pro\15.0 folder but it does not contain a license folder. Could this missing folder be the source of the issue?
