From the website's product pages:

"Note: Buyers of VEGAS Pro Post will receive VEGAS Pro Suite 22, in which VEGAS Effects and Image can continue to be used as usual.."

Hi vkmast, thank you for the quote! I did see it as well. But there is also another notification when making an Upgrade. It states

"Available until July 16, 2024

2-for-1 deal: Buy one and get one for free!

Buy a VEGAS product today and get the new version of the same product for free!"

So I am currently lost because one part states that you get only Suite, but other one says that you get the SAME product

AFAIK, the "Note" is correct. Please see here.

AFAIK, the "Note" is correct.

So it means that upgrading now will also grant me access to the VEGAS Post 22 as well, did I understand you correctly?

vkmast wrote on 7/7/2024, 3:26 PM

AFAIK, there will be no VP 22 Post version. See the link in my second comment..

"Buyers of VEGAS Pro Post will receive VEGAS Pro Suite 22, in which VEGAS Effects and Image can continue to be used as usual.."

So guessing that you would have to Vegas Post 21 in order for it to work in Vega Pro Suite 22?

@Reyfox from an email from news@letter.magix.com yesterday:

So, going off that announcement, does that mean Vegas Image and Vegas Effects are being discontinued, if that is so, does anyone know why? Also, will there be a replacement for these two programs or not?

Sorry @Dredjo, I’m not trying to hijack your thread, I’ve just been curious and wondering about this.

@MH7  ... it's been mentioned on the forum previously, but Vegas Image and Effects are derived from products developed years ago by FXHome. Since the Vegas/FXHome collaboration when POST was introduced, the then 10 years old FXHome was acquired by a start-up company named ArtList who have over the last 3 years successfully managed to grind the previously really good FXHome products into the dirt while changing their target market from the semi-pro/serious amateur to the Tik-Tok ("look at the silly hat I added to my selfie") crowd.

This sounds familiar. I do remember this being mentioned somewhere on this forum before. So, if I ever decide to upgrade to future versions of VEGAS Pro, v22 and beyond, it will just be back to Vegas Pro prior to Vegas Post and VEGAS Image and VEGAS Effects being included. I wonder what the VEGAS Pro team will do to give more value to the VEGAS Pro Suite.
