re-number markers

I am using Movie Studio HD Platinum 10.0. Will be upgrading, but not until I finish this current project.

As I've worked on this project, I've added markers as I worked on different sections, and not always in order from beginning to end. Which means I've got markers in all the correct places, but they are not numbered sequentially. Is there a way to fix this (other than deleting them all and re-creating them in order)?

If not... is there any reason to worry? Will the markers still create chapter stops in the correct order on the blu-ray/dvd?

I can't be the first person to have this question, but I cannot find an answer in the forums or in the knowledge base.

It all works in the end. No worries.

I am running into this issue as well, need to have markers numbered in sequential order on the timeline, but several were deleted and others were moved.

Does anyone know of a way, without deleting and recreating, to force makers to re-number themselves, based on their order within the timeline?

Oddly, when I look at the markers under View - Edit Details, they are numbered in order based on their placement on the timeline, not as they are numbered on the timeline. In other words, the marker number in Edit Details does not match the marker number on the timeline.

Thanks,

Well... just found an answser. In VASST Ultimate S Pro there is a "Renumber Markers" button in the Markers section, one click, problem solved.

However, using Vegas Pro 12, not sure if it works with Movie Studio or not, posted to the wrong forum.

I don't think that Vasst Ultimate Pro works in Movie Studios. Studio doesn't have the Edit Details option either, which gives VPro users the chance to get them in correct order. One of the earlier threads (lots more) on this

Seems that the new Vasst Fasst App 'Marker Editor' has a 'Renumber Markers' option. Besides VPros 9-12 it should work at least in MSP 12.
However and as the OP is a VMS 10 user, believe what musicvid says above.

You are correct that the VASST Ultimate S Pro does not work with Movie Studio but our Marker Editor FASST App has a Renumber Markers function and it works with Movie Studio Platinum 12.0.

In Movie Studio, if my markers are out of sequence I just name them with the numbers I would like to see.
