Rendering Question

Version 16.0 (build 248)

Windows 10 Home Version 1803

Video media taken by iphone 6 screen recording

I have an issue with rendering my project... I made this project and when I play it through in sony vegas, everything plays fine without any freezing. When I am rendering my project with audio and video, the audio renders fine but the video freezes at certain parts on one frame then continues. The whole thing gets rendered so it's not a crashing issue, but the video ends up with freezing parts. I rendered it as an mp4 file. I attached the video that it rendered, and take note that it shouldn't have any parts of the video that are stopping. The picture I attached actually shows the parts that get cut off as a blank space with a squiggly line, which I'm sure has something to do with it, but I'm not sure how to fix. If someone could help me out with this issue it would be really appreciated.

If you use a Sony Vegas version maybe it is better to upgrade to a newer version Vegas 14,15 or 16.

I use Vegas Pro 16. I don't think the version is the issue.

What format, codec, preset are you rendering to? i.e., 'Media Info' of the original and rendered file..

Read Section B of "**IMPORTANT!** - INFORMATION REQUIRED TO HELP YOU"

I updated the information. Is there anything else I need to put?

The link to download the latest build #361 of your (Magix) Vegas Pro 16 is here. Please provide at least the MediaInfo as per C-1 in the "Important" link and post your updates in a new comment, not in the original post.

@mike-n it looks like you have changed the speed of some events in the timeline, perhaps put them in fast motion? If that is correct, are the pauses in relation to those events you have changed the speed? If that is correct, if you start a new project and include the source media, but do not change the event play speed, do you get the pauses?

why .mp4 ?

here is the best render known to man and woman , in Vegas . menu Tools-->Burn disk-->burn Blu-ray disk . That will open the Mastering dialogue . choose to save to hard drive . choose Sony AVC\MVC choose something that is 16 Mbps bit rate . Sony w64 choose PCM audio 24 bit 96 khz . this will render to .iso file . mount the .iso using windows Explorer . navigate to find the file 0000.m2ts and copy it to a convenient location . rename it myVideo.m2ts or something . This .m2ts file is Blu-ray compliant . can't say it will be glitch free , if your time line is truly complex . Give it a try , and let us know how it plays . If you want regular audio bit rate , then choose PCM 16 bit 48 khz .( if you up load to the Tube where it gets re-transcode , then I recommend using 24 bit 96 khz and setting the Vegas Project settings Audio Tab to 24 bit 96 khz ) . That will give the uTube transcoder more audio data to work with . Your uTube audio will be the best . And Speaking of Best , in menu File-->properties-->video Tab set Quality to Best , and in the Audio Tab set Quality to Best .

Have you tried turning off GPU acceleration?

fan-boy wrote on 3/16/2019, 10:24 PM

Dimitrios , good suggestion . I have seen here , on this machine that GPU ON ,for Time Line has messed with video . thus , when using lots of FX , glitches have occurred . and "CPU only" did fix that . VP14 won't use GPU for during rendering , however , GPU does speed up Time Line preview . Time Line was glitched which followed thru to the render . Now , I have been using GPU ON , if a problem should arise , will turn GPU OFF , in Preferences-->Video Tab
