Rendering SD and 720p files for SD DVD

I have lots of SD files and HD 720p files which have been rendered
to 720p (Vegas 10) for my component files to be placed into the master timeline for a SD DVD. Should I render the whole project in Vegas to 720 or to mpeg2 knowing that DVD Arch will do this when I prep the DVD?
Thanks for any help, Sneddy

Render to MPEG-2 in Vegas using the appropriate DVD Architect template,
and your audio as a separate AC3 with the same name.

If you need guidance on the bitrate to achieve the optimal file size to fit on your DVD, the videohelp bitrate calculator is a good tool.

Are these two separate renders? If so,. I've never used DVDA like this. Is there any step by step documentation you could point me to? Thanks so much for your help,
Sneddy

You render 2 separate files, audio and video in Vegas, and author/prepare/burn your DVD in Architect. There is no reason to render in DVDA.
