Renewal

Roger Bansemer wrote on 6/18/2024, 1:34 PM

I received an email from Magix stating they want to charge me $239 for an annual renewal subscription which I'm due for. However when I go to their website I see that the price is $95 or $119. I've included a screen shot.
What am I missing here?
I have a couple other questions...

1. I'm not sure which version I have. When I look at the "about" it says Version 21.0 (build 315). Is this the "Vegas Pro Edit 365" or the Vegas pro Suite 360" and what is the difference. I have the access to the "Vegas Hub" which allows me to download stock music which I want to keep. I can't seem to find the explanation on their website.

2. Is the perpetual license a one time payment where I can keep getting upgrades without the yearly payment?

I know that's a lot of questions. Sorry, but I'm confused.
Thanks, Roger

@Roger Bansemer to check if you have the 'edit' version or the 'suite' version, just check if you have the 'mocha vegas' plugin as FX, if so, you have the suite...

Not sure about the price offer, but you seem to have a two year annual subscription based on your start and expiring date, and 119*2 (years) seems pretty much equal to 239...

What does your MAGIX account > My products (or My contracts) section show regarding your software version?

Anyway, best ask directly by emailing infoservice@magix.net or shop@magix.net

@Roger Bansemer

I looked it up on the Magix website and I have the Vegas Pro Suite 365.
Not sure I need the suite or just the edit. I don't use the Mocha features. I definitely would like to keep the Vegas Hub for music though. Seems like the edit version has everything except the Mocha. Is that about right?

Also, is the perpetual license a lifetime onetime fee which includes upgrades?
Probably seems like dumb questions but what I'm seeing on their website is just not that straight forward and a bit confusing. Thanks for your help.

The perpetual license is lifetime with UPDATES, not UPGRADES. Updates are new builds within the same version. An Upgrade would be a new version. So if you have V21, then all V21 updates are free. But when V22 comes up, a new license is required.

I successfully renewed my subscription, but their website and descriptions were on what's what were awfully confusing to me. Thanks everyone for your help.
