Serial number entered is invalid or belongs to another product

I have just purchased move studio 17.0 platinum on amazon and the serial number i was given will not activate the product. it was copied and pasted into the registration box and a green check is present next to it but when i click activate & register immediately online i am met with "the serial number you entered is invalid or may apply to another product. please make sure you entered it correctly or check whether you accidentally entered the serial number of another product. error code: -14

it seems that the serial number was used to activate Sound Forge and not Move Studio. is there a way to transfer it to movie studio?

Movie Studio 17 Platinum has its own specific serial number. If this document is no help, you need to get in contact with Amazon as advised above.
