SMS v12 -Build 895-Render halts at speed-up

Win7 (32b) oodles HDD, 4G RAM.
In earlier version the Control Key was used to speed-up/Slow-Down video, as in v12. However, having had a problem with V12 not accepting a series of still-frames to create "Fleeting Cloud" effect, I took the upgrade path with Build 895. However, the first Render I do with this ( As I still part-use earlier Projects in v10 - "Why monkey with success?"- v12 stops about half-way (8.mins in) at a point where it's just completed the 1-second stills bit ( which I find I cannot stretch enough....should have taken more frames, yes,- but it was very difficult at the time.)......and had reached the point where normal video was too slow, so I speeded it up.

Oddly the Playback in preview window, prior to rendering, refuses to play the "fast" and shows signs of stutter. I don't remember this in v10, but then mostly, I'm slowing action down....

UpDate: Rendered the first half - Part success....plays OK from HDD via Media Player. However, the second half, containing a (modified) slightly-less speeded up clip does fail at the same/similar point and has taken over quarter hr to stop...it's still waiting for a background operation, so I can't do much as it won't shut-down. Huh!
Do I already need Build 896?
EDIT: - NO - 896 is 64-bit= thanks vkmast,. There were no notes obvious - just a prompt to upgrade to v13....ie a Sales pitch.... that's what it looked like, today. As it won't Shut Down I'm forced to pull the plug on the PC...so I'm Logging-Out, byeee.

The "Sticky" thread at the top just takes me to offers of v13. and no explanation of the Improvement the 896 will bring.
In effect v12 has never produced one movie, so you can understand why I keep v10 working, although v12 tries to get iin on the Act with offers of converting (dot)vf files...rather confusing as they are already vf.
To avoid this duality, I wonder that Sony shouldn't rename the (dot)vf file so as to make the Version clearer, for example vfa, vfb, etc not entirely helpful, but a step in the right direction, within the crippling limits of DOS format.

TEXT-on another note,
I find the v12 Text generator retrograde over v10 - thankfully there is a Legacy Text option (thanks Sony), although the whole MovieStudio "text" area does need improvement. Yes I know you needed to allow for 3D and Animation, but the fundamental laying-out of Text is a subject in itself - and that section needs IMHO to behave more like a Publishing program, so all the nuances of the Words can be dealt with, to achieve the right look and readability. Indeed I think Sony is missing a trick by not having a "Text Mason" ( sounds like DVD,Architect!), which could be separated for those that need to play with text, that would take some pressure of the MS and Pro programs which appear to suffer the similar LayoutText issues. Such a program could make the whole text experience far better by employing specialists in Print/Text/effects, and the like... Once done, the clip would "drop-in" like any movie and could be pre-rendered to check it really does work with the included Music track.
With that in mind, the controls should fall into place.
I know there are improvements in v13, text-wise - but presently, I need to get some mileage out of v12,.
To try-again. I've made a "loop" ( I think) of the first-half, avoiding the bit where it failed, so I should be able to Report success.
...A Report was sent (to Sony - didn't say!) -and then the program shut, without warning...

UK, for starters, build 895 is 32-bit and build 896 is 64-bit. It is clearly stated in the download page.

32 bit -vs- 64 bit
