See if FAQ #9 is of help. https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-pro-faqs-and-troubleshooting-guides--104787/

9. How many computers can I use VEGAS Pro on?
You can use VEGAS Pro (14.0 and later) simultaneously on 2 devices. VEGAS Pro 365 can be used on 1 device at a time.

To deactivate a device, so you can activate a different one, visit your MAGIX account > My Products > Show More Details > Deactivate. This option can be used only once a month.

In VEGAS Pro 14.0 or later, you can also choose Deactivate the Software on this PC from the Help menu This option can be used as often as you wish. An internet connection is required.

Older versions of Vegas Pro than 14.0 are licensed under a system (as previously used by Sony) which permits use on multiple computers by one user; after an unspecified number of installations on different or updated PCs you may need to contact support to reset your "installation count".

No need for all the drama... Just deactivate and reactivate as needed... it's a one click process from the help menu.

Systems:

Desktop

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Geforce RTX 3090

@fr0sty You can only do that once a month... Anymore brain busters? The point is why do I need to do if all? Even if I could only have one instance at a time running that would be fine. leave it to vegas crew. Well at least this way only one computer will be crashing at a time!

@DMT3 and a Toyota Prius gets 60 miles to the gallon... I dont have "VEGAS Pro 14.0 or later" so what does that matter!!!!

fr0sty wrote on 8/7/2023, 4:26 PM

The reason why is due to what is included with your subscription... VEGAS has to pay subscription fees to the cloud storage provider, the text to speech/speech to text provider, and the VEGAS content library provider for every computer each 365 copy is installed on. Unless you want that subscription to double in price in order to make it viable to do this, you're going to be limited to one copy in use at a time. At least they make it very easy to disable and re-enable the license. It's a one click process, as I said.

If you want multiple machine activations, you have to buy the perpetual license to do so, but you lose the subscription services in doing so. You can also buy a second subscription if you need to keep the online storage, VEGAS content, and the voice to text/text to voice. As DMT3 pointed out, your once per month thing is false. It's quite literally a one click process to go from one system to the other, and you can do this swap as many times as you need.

I'm also going to remind you of the community rules, specifically rule #7. This is not a place for you to blow off steam about your frustrations with VEGAS. We are here to help users find solutions to the issues they face. We've provided an easy solution to your issue of needing to use VEGAS on multiple systems. Either swap the registrations with one click, buy a second subscription, or buy one perpetual license, which can be installed on 2 systems.

I dont have "VEGAS Pro 14.0 or later"

You have VEGAS 20, which was released LATER than VEGAS 14.0, so yes, you DO have VEGAS 14.0 or later.

As @fr0sty says, you do have VEGAS 20 in your VEGAS Post 365, confirmed by your screenshot in the OP. (All VEGAS 20 purchase and subscription options include VEGAS Pro. Please see the product comparison table.)
