Would like to try the older 64 bit version, but I'm afraid that I am running out of allowed registrations because of all the different installs I did this morning.

If that happens, call Customer Service, explain the situation and they will reset things for you.

(Copied over from Aversis's thread)...

Okey... its also confirmed from me, build 425 works (64 and 32 bit)
then go to build 511 - failure, and build 521 also failure.

So in short, it got broke in build 511 and has remained broken in 521.

Im going to copy this both to my other thread [thats here!] and to SCS on my existing ticket.

Aversis, thanks for finding this, saved me the trouble!

Paul. VP11 425 may not be the (semi) nirvana you think. See this thread. There are others as well.

The Transparency, Levels and Color Curves problems made it very difficult to use. I am using Build 511 on the edit machine (not without problems).

Willem, yes i can understand that but my main issue was with the levels plugin. I use it all the time. 425 is no nirvana for sure! but its better (at least for me) than later releases. I have now rolled back to it and can edit once more.
SCS are now aware of this, at least i told them about it but have had no reponse at all, not even from the first ticket i started. Nothing :(

Paul.

PS. SonyPCH or ForumAdmin, could you let us know if this is being looked at. Thank you guys.

For those of you who are experiencing this issue, can you please update your system specs to include your video card model number AND driver number? To find this on Nvidia systems, open the Nvidia Control Panel, then go to Help > System Information.

For any issues you experience in VP11 (and going forward), your video card model and driver information is critical. Please be sure to include this with any reports of issues that may be GPU-related.

Thanks for your cooperation,
SCS

Forum Admin,

paul_w wrote on 1/26/2012, 4:44 PM

Can i assume that means yes its being looked at?

Same problem here with Broadcast Color filter.

Just an update.

Just noticed, you dont need to apply a fade to the event to see this issue, simply add Sony Levels to either the track fx or master fx and try reducing the video level manually using the track level slider. Same problem. And if you change project settings to "32 bit", from 8 bit, the slider works like a mute switch - no fade at all.

SCS suggested changing the video driver back to an older version. I did this and this did not clear the issue. Its not driver related.

Can i ask anyone else seeing this issue to also report it as a bug in the ticket system.
Muchos Thankos.

Paul.
