sony vegas activation code

hello, i reinstalled sony vegas on my pc and it installed ok but whenever i lauch it the programme keeps showing activation code needed every time. thanks

There hasn't been a "Sony" Vegas for several years now. Exactly which programme and version are you trying to install and is it a proper purchase or something you've downloaded off the internet?

This should work, but if it doesn't, try the solution here. (Replace VEGAS Pro with your software if that's relevant. E.g C:\ProgramData\VEGAS\VEGAS_Movie_Studio_16_Platinum)

Btw, I thought you said a couple of days ago that you bought "sony vegas 15"??

Actually it's Vegas Movie Studio 16 (owned by Magix). So you can continue using "Vegas" but not "Sony".
