I click on the icon to open the program. Once the loading bar reaches "Creating video plug-in factory," it crashes and says "Sony Vegas is not working." I sent in a problem report, and it gave me a link to update to Version 13.0.453. Here it is: http://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/vegas-pro/?utm_source=sonycreativesoftware&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=redirect&cnt=_download_updates_vegaspro&cat=Product&lang=en
I eventually found my way to the Sony update/download links. Here is what I found: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/updates
and
http://download.sonymediasoftware.com/current/
I have no idea which link to click to update, or if that will even solve the problem (sorry, I'm sort of new at this). I tried uninstalling some of the third party plugins, like NewBlueFX and HitFilm (I have a hunch that these could be part of the problem because Sony can't load the video FX), but I am not sure if they are all totally uninstalled, and if they aren't, how to completely get rid of them. I understand that some files, like Titler Pro 2, linger in hidden places and are difficult to manually remove. I've already removed as many as I can. I've looked on countless forums and tried many things, and I don't know what to do. My very last resort is to reset/uninstall Sony Vegas altogether and reinstall it, but I heard that that's a troublesome process since the switch with Magix complicated things. I just contacted Magix, but I've heard that they're slow to reply, so here I am. Any help would be appreciated! Here is the process:
