Sony Vegas won't start up for me

Just purchased Vegas 13 online. The issue appears to be that the download link I received in the email is for the trial version. I've used up a trial, so it says it's expired. If I have a serial number, I simply enter and submit. I do so, but the program restarts to the exact same message prompting me to re-enter my serial number. I do it again, but no cigar. Rinse and repeat. Can anyone help me? I can't find a download link that's not the trial version

Found a link that's not the trial version, but the same message prompts up when I start Sony Vegas. This is infuriating. Spent $599 and I can't even use the program. Someone please help.

Maybe a complete deinstall and reinstll will help

I've done that. It doesn't work. The same issue remains.
