Stream friendly video in Movie Studio 11

Hi

Noob here, could somebody please advise me if movie studio hd platinum 11 has an option to render internet mp4 files with the moov atom at the front of the video?

I can choose to render internet 720 30p from the mp4 drop-down, but it appears that the moov atom index is placed at the end of the video file and not the beginning (which I believe is normal practice?) Youtube complains that the video is not stream friendly and takes a very long time to process at their end in order to correct this.

I can put the final mp4 render through another program to put the moov atom at the front of the video, but then my audio/video sync goes out. Can this be done within Vegas itself? Your thoughts and answers would be most welcome. :)

I think you need a newer version of Movie Studio. In Movie Studio 13; in custom render settings, video tab, there is a checkbox "Enable progressive download", which is checked by default. My impression is, one of the things this option does, is place the MOOV atom at the beginning if the MP4. I don't believe that this option is available in Movie Studio 11.

What's new in MSP version 12.0:

"What on earth is a 'moov atom' and why should I even care? I never heard of that critter before. LOL!"

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. I thought that might be the case but I wasn't sure if I was missing a setting. I will upgrade to version 13 as soon as I can.

Many thanks :)
