If "Scale" is greyed out, try clicking on the line anyway or giving a value, e.g. 1,000 (or 1.000, depending on your settings).

I have the impression that it is not about that. I do not have graphics - characters. A colleague from Poland asked about the same and I suspect that this is a program error. I've been in Movie 13 for three years, so something is broken in the program

I was not talking about reinstalling. Resetting to default settings is different, read the FAQ in the > here link.

Maybe in the mean time you can try if the older Text editor will work. You can let it show up by allowing that Titler trough click the Options/preferences with hold Shift of your keyboard to allowe it with type-in "legacy" (1) en change FALSE by True(2)

The Internal Preferences are hidden but can be accessed by holding SHIFT while clicking Options/Preferences (like @j-v has advised).

We don't know what you all did with the program and his options, so @vkmast gave you the possibility to reset it in the settings if it has been installed a short moment before. Before you set your own preferences you can now test if that Titles&Text Generator will work.
