Subject Matter Experts from Vegas For The Forums?

I was just thinking it would sure be nice if a SME from the Vegas team could chime into the forum posts. I see a lot of technical questions getting asked, but never any "official" response from the Vegas team. I realize the forums are for the community of users and some people are just venting, but it also seems people are coming here to get answers they can't find anywhere else.

I look at past Vegas forums and several of the participants were SMEs or very closely affiliated with Vegas. John Rofrano was one such person, but I think he switched to another NLE.

But surely there have been a number of posts from the Magix team. Although I agree that these are usually confined to development issues it does show that they keep an eye on what's happening in the forum. I'm not certain that they would find it economic to do all our troubleshooting, especially as almost every problem is usually solved by a contributor in any case.

I agree with Richard. There are at least 400+ post/comments altogether from members of the Magix dev team and the Magix Vegas Community team in the past Magix year here. In addition, most of the volunteer forum moderators have been helpful and very active in SMEing, including JR who has commented well over a hundred times in the last year. And of course there's always Musicvid, who continues to carry on the tradition of peer support famously here.

Well I think they have to adapt to the new modern banking techniques as when you have a problem you have to access the "Customer Service" program and get a number. Then your problem is referred to an evaluater of limited knowledge who makes the decision to send it to the real evaluater who then makes the decision to send it to the person who is authorized to make the correction. He then makes the decision to correct it or not. This can take anywhere from 4 days to infinity. I know this doesn't apply to the forum but I just had to say it.

That would be so unnecessary complex for a forum or product such as this and as for the cost to Magic --- well that doesn't bear thinking about!  Anyway, why should we want our forum to become as inefficient as the banking system?

You are correct. I like the professionalism of the people on this forum and the access to their opinions.
