I have DVD Architect Studio 4.5 and I can put text on my Menu and when you click it it starts the video.

But my Background is of a video and it is all diferant colors so even if I make the text say Black some of the background is Dark so you can not see the text.

And if I make the text white you still can not see it good because the background is some what whte.

My background is of a video and it was outside.

So I want to know if I can do this?

CaI know I can put all my text and titles on the left hand side going down the side of the screen. Is there a way I can put a solit color behind it?

Like put a Box behinf the text of even on the whole side of the left side of the screen and make it a color?

You can use the Drop Shadow on the text to make it stand out from your background.

I tryed useing the Dropshadow for the text to stand out.

It did not work to good because the background video has some white parts and it moves.
And the Dropshadow does not go around the whole ward so if I have it offset to the left the whole right of the word is empty.

When I have a video in Movie studio I could move the video off screen if I wanted to have just a little of the video show.

The video I have for my Background menu in DVD ARC. can I move it off to the left you know offscreen?

Yes, DVDA should provide a contrasting outline for lettering. A shadow helps but not too much. In Vegas I use yellow lettering with black outline for captions and that works well. In DVDA I just choose a background that is suitable to take lettering.

Just one thing what do you meen DVD A lets you give Contrast to Letters?

Do you meen DVD ARC.?

And two how do you give an Outline to text?

I said DVDA should provide a contrasting outline, (but it doesn't). I was implying that it is a design deficiency of DVDA.

I was pointing out that you can get outline letters in Vegas titler, but not in DVDA (that I know of). If SCS can provide it in one product, why not another? (A rhetorical question.)

OK just oine thing?

Say I pick a background video for the menu I see how to change it to another one.

Can I just Delette the video I picked for the Background of my Menu?

Or is the only way to take it off is to put something in it's place?

Just under the Replace option is Remove. Choose Remove to "delete" the background video. (Do the same for Audio if needed)
