The new 452 crashes when opening a new or old project with .mts files

tut-m wrote on 5/29/2020, 6:40 AM

Unfortunately, the 452 build has the same problem with kernelbase.dll when trying to open existing projects, as does the 421, 387, or 353 build. The only updates that work perfectly are 284 and 321. The program crashes even when selecting any .mts media file. I didn't know that until now, because I wanted to continue my started projects.

Windows 10.

Does anyone know what the solution is?

If there's a problem with Windows, why builds 284 and 321 (and all previous versions of Vegas Pro 17) work perfectly with the same Windows 10, even reinstalled? !

An internet search found this:

https://wiki-tech.net/en/errors/b/0x/0xe06d7363/?msclkid=6fde0f408f0a1f7ec5d25198779369bb&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=WT.S.Eng.Errors.P&utm_term=0xe06d7363&utm_content=N_

It doesn't solve your problem but does provide a possible reason for the problem which is an issue within your computer's Windows registry. Of course, I have no way of knowing if this is correct.

I have found the crash information in our database. It is happening within the audio reader for one (or more) of the media in the project. Could you please post either the MediaInfo or upload a copy of the media to a file share? The crash is occurring when reading the file: D:\\2004-2016-Отдых-Путешествия\\2010_Бали\\00000.MTS. This likely contains AC3 audio and we were required to make some adjustments to our reader after build 321. We would like to get an idea of why this file is causing a problem.

What about Process Image Data ?!

MTS file should be general Sony AVCHD formats... which are extremely compatible to me... but a small sample can help analyzing.

Please upload any small mts file to Dropbox / Google Drive / Wetransfer / other file sharing service so we and developers can try testing yours.

Indeed, only when loading .mts files = crash.

To what address should I send the file?

I have tried various scenarios but have not had any problems loading this file. What update of Windows 10 do you have installed? This file should be using the AC3 decoder that comes with Windows. It could very well be that there is a problem with version you have.

with a copyright of 2018, that would suggest your version is a couple years old. You may try to updating Windows 10 to at least version 1903, or preferably 1909.

Okay. Windows is two years old. But how does Vegas Pro 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 work perfectly up to build 321? I downloaded and installed audio decoder packages for windows 10. No change.

Now, Windows updated at version 1908:
